The initial user interfaces for the database permitted only the querying on regional level. Due to the reorganisation of the water sector, queries and reports are now required on district level. Development is under way to achieve that. There are two or three schemes which contain villages in more than one district, but we are confident that we can handle that issue, too.
24/04: Tanzania Census Data
Please note, that the present village statistics like administrative level, population etc., even the village names themselves, are from the 1985 Census. The results of the Census in year 2002 had previuously not yet been available on village level (only on ward level). It is foreseen to update the whole system during my visit to Tanzania in June 2005.
